About Malou

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog!

My name is Malou [Pronounced Mah - Loo]

I'm a half Bajan/half Dutchie island girl who was bitten by the travel bug at a very young age. I grew up in the Caribbean, studied and worked overseas for a number of years before following my heart back to Barbados.

Skip to Malou is about responsible travel, Caribbean culture, living a mindful lifestyle, and everything in between.

This blog started as a way for me to update close friends and family during my first 'big trip' in 2010. Over the years, this blog has gone through lots of changes, ups and downs, and as a result it's been a pretty clear reflection of my life.

Skip to Malou has developed into a personal lifestyle and travel blog; I talk about everything from sustainable travel, underwater exploration and local and international events, to social issues and community development.

If travel, photography, social causes and people are your thing, then I think we'd get along. If you're interested in collaborating with me, or just saying hi and asking me questions about anything you see on here, please feel free to shoot me an email: maloumorgan [at] gmail [dot] com.
